MotionRise Media

Terms of Service

These terms explain how MotionRise Media handles video editing projects, payments, revisions, files, delivery, ownership, and client responsibilities.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By booking a call, starting a project, sending files, approving a quote, making a payment, or using MotionRise Media services, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.

2. Services

MotionRise Media provides professional video editing services for creators, brands, agencies, videographers, and production teams.

Services may include wedding film editing, YouTube editing, short-form editing, podcast editing, music video editing, commercial editing, real estate editing, event editing, thumbnails, motion graphics, color grading, audio cleanup, and related post-production work.

3. Project Requirements

To start and complete a project properly, the client must provide:

  • Raw footage, audio, images, logos, graphics, music, and other needed assets.
  • Clear instructions, references, style preferences, export requirements, and deadlines.
  • Timely feedback during the review and revision process.
  • Access to required file-sharing or review tools such as Dropbox, Google Drive, Frame.io, Loom, Trello, or another agreed platform.

4. File Sharing

Dropbox is currently our preferred file-sharing method. Google Drive may be used as an alternative if needed.

The client is responsible for uploading complete files, checking that links work, and ensuring MotionRise Media has proper access.

5. Payments and Billing

Pricing, deposits, billing schedule, and payment terms are based on the specific project, package, or monthly agreement discussed with the client.

Work may begin only after the agreed payment, deposit, or confirmation has been received.

Late payments may delay delivery or pause active work.

6. Turnaround Time

Turnaround time depends on project type, footage size, editing complexity, revision speed, and client responsiveness.

Uploading time, missing assets, unclear instructions, delayed feedback, and client-side delays are not counted as MotionRise Media editing time.

7. Revisions

Revisions are included according to the agreed project or package terms.

Revision requests must be clear, specific, and related to the original project brief. Major changes in direction, new concepts, extra deliverables, or work outside the original scope may require additional charges.

8. Client Approval

Once the client approves a final version or uses/publishes the delivered video, the project is considered accepted.

Further changes after approval may be treated as additional work unless otherwise agreed.

9. Ownership and Usage Rights

The client remains the rightful owner of their raw footage and provided assets.

After full payment, the client receives usage rights to the final edited deliverables according to the agreed project scope.

The client is responsible for ensuring they have rights to any music, footage, images, fonts, graphics, or third-party assets they provide.

10. Portfolio and Showcase Rights

MotionRise Media may use final edited work, screenshots, or clips for portfolio, marketing, social media, and showcase purposes only after the client has already published, delivered, or used the work, unless otherwise agreed.

Clients working under confidentiality requirements must inform MotionRise Media before the project begins.

11. Confidentiality

MotionRise Media will not intentionally share client raw files, private project details, or confidential materials with unrelated third parties.

Files may be accessed by MotionRise Media team members, editors, project managers, and approved collaborators only as needed to complete the work.

12. Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellation and refund terms depend on the specific agreement, project stage, and amount of work already completed.

Deposits, completed work, editing time, project setup, and reserved editor time may be non-refundable unless otherwise agreed in writing.

13. Limitation of Liability

MotionRise Media is not responsible for losses caused by client-side delays, missing files, broken links, third-party platform issues, copyright problems with assets provided by the client, or business results after publishing the edited content.

14. Updates to Terms

These Terms of Service may be updated from time to time. The latest version posted on this page applies to future use of the website and services.
